Common Questions

1. How do you usually work with clients?

In short:

Our goal is to help business owners and leaders create lasting business success. The way we do that is by coaching and mentoring our clients on how to establish and maintain a resilient and productive workforce at all levels. We give you the insight, tools and techniques so that you can reduce your visible and hidden staff costs.

The real reason:

  • Why:

Business owners and leaders carry huge responsibilities and are under significant pressure for their businesses to perform and be successful.
At the same time, they are a seriously under-supported group of people.

Life at the top of the organisation can be very lonely with little or no opportunity to seek inspiration or sense checking from somebody else.

There is a constant demand on business owners and leaders to keep cost down and be efficient, productive and profitable. And struggling with high staff turnover, unnecessary recruitment cost, too high absenteeism and poor performance due to employees turning up for work when not fit to do so just adds to the pressure on the business owner.

  • What:

For you as a business owner or leader it is vital to have a strong and resilient workforce that drives and supports the business success you desire. This will give you the freedom to plan ahead and set the direction of the business.

An engaged and content workforce at all levels of your organisation will go the extra mile because they want to not because they have to.

You will spend less on sick pay for which you get no return.

You will avoid the recruitment cost and disruption associated with unnecessary, high staff turnover.

You will enjoy high productivity and good quality of work.

Not only will you keep the talent you already have in your business, you will also attract unsolicited new talent making recruitment less costly.

  • How:

In a previous job, my colleagues and I complained to our boss that our computers got more care and attention than we did. Imagine the resentment we felt towards management and how unwilling we were to lift a finger for the company.

Investing in a business culture that focuses on the wellbeing of the employees, the crucial resource that any business relies on for its own success, is what it is about.

I will work with you to design a professional yet supportive and compassionate culture in which you and your employees can thrive. We will create a positive culture that suits your company and ensure your processes, procedures and practices enable high productivity, low absenteeism and reduced staff turnover.

Nothing over the top and extravagant. We will create a customised, sensible and sensitive scheme that you can implement, maintain, and scale within the constraints of your business.

2. What can I expect from the call?

We are going to be doing a high-level business analysis so we can determine the root cause of what is NOT working in your business, and once we are both clear on what is going on we will discuss your goals. And if we determine working with me is your best next step toward achieving your goals and solving the issues holding your business back, we will talk about that. If it ends up not being a fit, we will still point you in the direction of resources that will help you.

3. Who is Peter Abrahamsen?

Originally from Denmark, Peter qualified as a translator and interpreter and after graduation moved to the UK to pursue his career. It quickly became apparent that people and their mental wellbeing and development were his true passion.

Along the way, Peter was both the troubled and at times troublesome employee but decided to transform his life and start again. From that point onward his career took a few twists and turns, some planned, some unexpected. And the dramatic resistance to change by the very people who had hired him to introduce change in their organisation inspired Peter to take a degree in psychology and qualifications in coaching.

From a long career in a variety of organisations, public and private, large and small, Peter has first-hand, personal experience of how the wellbeing of the employees directly affects the wellbeing of the business itself. And as a director and business owner he understands the pressures and demands facing the top levels of a business and how important it is to look after the people in the business.

Today, Peter helps business owners and leaders build strong and resilient businesses. He is a published author, popular coach and therapist, and a sought-after speaker on mental wellbeing in general and in business in particular.
